DEWA ATHENA IX

Its been a long time since I last posted in his blog. In this post I want to write about my experiences at Dewa Athena.
Firstly, I don't really know what it stands for but, Dewa Athena is some kind of sports competition between classes in my school. It was held on the 23rd & 24th of March for the 11th graders and the 25th of March followed by the 1st of April for the 10th graders. The final between the winners of 10th grade and 11th grade will be held on the 8th of April 2017. My class, X Science 8, competed against a lot of classes in different types of sports. There were basketball, football for boys and for girls, badminton, dodgeball for boys and girls, volleyball, tug of war, relay,and gerobak sodor. We also made jerseys for our own classes. My class chose pink for the jersey. It was kinda good, i guess.
On the 25th of March, I came to Bali Field at 7am. Because no one from my class was there, I decided to play with my friends from other classes. There was a speech from the head of the event, and after that, we went to the places where our classes would compete. I didn't compete much, since I had to be one of the medics there. I spent most of my time in the football field, watching the tug of war between classes. But sadly at 1, I had to go home.
On the 1st of April, I also came at 7am, but because the field was wet and it could danger the competitors, we had to wait until further information. Then we competed as usual. X Science 8 that day won the relay, gerobak sodor, volleyball, and tug of war if I wasn't mistaken. I also didn't compete much that day. I became the medic that day. More people were hurt that day compared to the last time. This day I got to watch it until the end. I actually forgot to go home and because my class was competing, I decided to cheer them. After winning the last competition, most of us went home. I really enjoyed that day, eventhough I was sick in the end. It was tiring but fun.
